Can't Wait: "Gravity"

Wow, I just saw a mini trailer, if you will, for this upcoming film, "Gravity" starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney and it literally gave me goosebumps.  I'm sucked in and can't wait to see it.  Especially since it's directed by the incredibly talented Alfonso Cuaron (ummm, he directed "Y Tu Mama Tambien", "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", oh and "Great Expectations"). 

Maybe it's a trend but I think this film has even a smaller cast than the other sci-fi thriller, "Oblivion".  Is this becoming a new cost-saving trend?  (Uh, doubtful on the cost-saving part.  This is Hollywood!)  The film releases in the US on October 4th. Check out the mini trailer here:

Can't Wait: The Heat

While we're on the subject of Melissa McCarthy, might I add that she has been rather busy and is also starring in another cop comedy with Sandra Bullock called "The Heat," directed by Paul Feig.  Of course he would choose to work with McCarthy again as he directed her in "Bridesmaids" that won her an Oscar nomination.  From what I can gather, it seems like a mix of Bullock's character in "Miss Congeniality" and McCarthy's character on "Bridesmaids", well, maybe a little bit.  How can you not laugh then?  And rumour has it, these two bonded so much that they're new besties in real life!  Sadly, we'll have to hang tight as this film doesn't release until April 5th.  Boo!

Happy Holidays!

Wow, where has the time gone? I am so sorry for being neglectful but...I am back! The holiday season is upon us and I can't express my excitement over all of the movies that are coming out. I especially love the trailers! One in particular, which makes me feel as mushy as that old Hallmark card commercial, is a film that I'm actually going to see this weekend called "The Blind Side". It stars Sandra Bullock and newcomer Quinton Aaron. I'm so excited to see Sandra Bullock in what I hear is an Oscar-nom worthy role. Enjoy!
