Can't Wait: "To Rome With Love"

I don't care what you say - I still and will always love Woody Allen.  That being said and considering my name "Soonhee" is similar to his er, adopted-asian-daughter-turned-wife, I don't mean this in a creepy way.  I respect him as a filmmaker and totally get his style.  So without further adieu, allow me to introduce the trailer of his newest film, "To Rome With Love" starring himself, Judy Davis, Flavio Parenti (if you saw Tilda Swinton's "I Am Love", he plays her son), Penelope Cruz, "Life is Beautiful's" Roberto Benigni, Alison Pill, Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page and Greta Gerwig. I love his big ensemble casts and romantic locations like in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and "Midnight in Paris".  They're magical, dramatic, steamy and mysterious. The film is already out nationwide so go see it - and I will, too!

Go See: "Sex and the City 2"

It was every girl's dream come true, for the second time...bringing back the lives of four women who we emulated and lived vicariously through every Sunday night and for a full two hours. Yes, I'm talking about "Sex and the City 2", which was definitely enjoyed more for the clothes, than for the storyline. It's so hard to outdo the original and that goes for just about anything. But seriously, ladies (and gents who were forced to go with their significant others or gay men), can we just say that they had us at the "Liza Minnelli" hello, dulled us with the cheesy humor in the middle and wrapped it up at the end? I almost believe that the highlight of "Sex and the City 2", was the Liza Minnelli dance performance of "Single Ladies" at Stanford and Anthony's wedding. She still has legs that go for miles and can move! Take a look and no, you can obviously tell that this is not an official clip of the film. Shhhhh...! But you will love it!

Don't despair, there are new discoveries in this film such as the hot desert hunk, Max Ryan who plays Samantha's love interest in the desert, and the exciting and bra-less Alice Eve, who plays Charlotte's nanny. And let's not forget cameos by Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus playing, well, Miley Cyrus. If you loved the original "Sex and the City", then get your closure and see the sequel. You will still love it, I promise!

Happy New Year!

Okay, I'm a little late in wishing ya'll a happy new year but I'm still within the first week back near the 1st and well, in my opinion, it's still okay. Now if I tried that tomorrow, then it'd be a different story. I wish that I could say I saw a load of films over the holidays but unfortunately I didn't. I am happy to report that I did see "Nine" finally. Perhaps I hyped myself up and expected a major grandiose film but I found that it was missing tiny pizazz or oomph that transports you out of your seat and doesn't remind you that you're sitting for two hours and your right knee doesn't hurt from cramping up. It makes me sad to say that I didn't LOVE this film because I am the gayest of gay men. I am, however, obsessed with the soundtrack and immediately went home to download various songs from itunes such as Penelope Cruz singing "A Call From the Vatican".

...and Fergie singing "Be Italian".

And, last but not least, Kate Hudson singing "Cinema Italiano."

Suffice it to say, I loved the music and choreagraphy with such big named stars. So I would highly recommend getting the soundtrack. Happy Listening! (Jazz Hands!)

OMG, OMG, OMG: SATC 2 - Trailer!

Like every other shoe-a-holic and fashion-a-holic lady in the world, I am dying to see the next "Sex and the City 2" movie. From what I gather, it's the cast regulars and a couple of guest stars such as Miley Cyrus, Penelope Cruz, and the ever-so-fabulous and iconic, Liza Minelli. What? True story! There are also some other actors who aren't so common here in the states. I know of this bloke, Raza Jaffrey who plays the character, Hari, from the british drama, "Mistresses", of which I am massively obsessed with. I honestly don't know who this guy is, Alexander Wraith but he looks pretty smoking and he's in the trailer. And let's just add in another brit, Max Ryan who seems to be all over the place and has a bit of a reckless nature to him.

So, without further ado, please enjoy the clip!

Gifts on Christmas Day

Well, the gifts I'm speaking of actually are the movies that are releasing on Christmas Day. Let me just start by saying I am a gay man. I love showtunes. I love musicals. I love Broadway. There I said it. Admitting your problem is the first step however this is SO not a problem because on Christmas Day, the much-anticipated Rob Marshall film (if you having a brain fart, Rob directed "Chicago" and many others), "Nine". There are so many divas in this film, I mean, who would not be excited about this. From Nicole Kidman to Fergie, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, and drum roll, please....Sophie Loren. And, let's not forget the star diva, the award-winning and extremely talented (I feel like I'm presenting him for an award), Daniel Day-Lewis. Whew!

So, without further ado, here's your little tease...!
